February 26th Verses of the week, Handbook lessons, and Council time
Verses of the week for opening message-Mark 1:4-8
John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Then all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
Now John was clothed with camel's hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And he preached saying,
"There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.
"I indeed baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."
Parents-
Please assist/encourage your child to memorize their verses from their handbook each week.

Council time lesson for the week
We will not have a council time lesson this week. We will celebrate reaching our faith action point goal during the council
time with an ice cream social and an age appropriate Christian program.
Parents, If your child/children has food sensitivities or allergies, please bring a treat for your child/children as a substitution.
*****Volunteers- If you would like to teach a council time lesson please ask Shannon or I about the sign up sheet. There are many available spots.

Ages 4-5 (This program is only available to children of AWANA volunteers and Grace Church attenders.) Cubbies® nurtures the budding faith of preschoolers and celebrates their desire to explore all that God has created. This two-year preschool ministry curriculum features exciting games, storytelling, puppet shows, and biblical teaching as well as take-home activities and tools. |

Kindergarten - Grade 2 Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. |

Grade 3 - Grade 6 T&T® explores the concept of grace by focusing on the character and nature of God, identity of Christ, as well as the structure and format of the Bible. This four-year upper elementary school ministry curriculum is created to ensure that kids and leaders connect through God's Word. |
Club dues will be $15 per child. This fee will cover the child's handbook and activities during the year. It can be paid by cash or check on a club night. Sparks/Cubbies vest ($14), Sparks/Cubbies handbook bag ($7), T&T Jersey ($19) and/or T&T Sling Bag ($14) can be purchased separately at a club night. Each clubber is required to have a handbook and club shirt (vest or jersey).
